Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Aleksandar Vlaškalić (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Bordi mobile app and website (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details — if you create an account, your email address (magic-link sign-in) or the identifier from your Google/Apple sign-in.
  • Reports, photos & support messages — wait-time reports, any photos you choose to attach (using your camera or photo library), and any free-text you send us through the app.
  • Purchases — if you buy a subscription, purchase and entitlement records are processed by the app stores and our billing provider (RevenueCat). We never receive or store your full payment-card details.

Information collected automatically

  • Location (in use) — with your permission, your location to show nearby crossings and to attribute your reports to the correct border. You can use much of the app without granting location access.
  • Analytics — we use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used (screens opened, features used). It records a device identifier and, when you are signed in, your account identifier, so we can tell one session from another. We do not collect your advertising identifier and we do not use this data for advertising.
  • Schengen trips — if you use the Schengen tracker, we store the entry and exit dates, countries and any note you add, so we can calculate your 90/180 balance. Entries and exits can also be recorded automatically from the wait-time reports you submit; this is off by default and you can turn it off again in Settings at any time.
  • Push notifications — a device push token, so we can send the alerts and reminders you have enabled. You can turn notifications off at any time.
  • Device & usage data — app version, device type, and basic diagnostics used to keep the Service reliable.

2. How we use your information

  • Provide live wait times, trends, alerts, and community reports.
  • Send the notifications you have enabled.
  • Track your Schengen 90/180 balance, if you use that feature.
  • Measure how the app is used so we can improve it.
  • Process subscriptions and unlock premium features.
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Prevent abuse, spam, and fraudulent reports.
  • Respond to support requests and improve the Service.

3. Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), for our legitimate interests (security, analytics and improvement), and with your consent (e.g. location and notifications).

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service — including cloud hosting and photo storage, email delivery, push notifications and analytics (Google Firebase), sign-in (Google and Apple), and subscription billing (the app stores and RevenueCat) — under agreements that require them to protect it, or where required by law.

5. Data retention & account deletion

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate legal or operational purposes. Old reports are periodically removed. You can delete your account and personal data at any time from within the app (in Settings), or by emailing us at bordi.support@gmail.com. When you delete your account we remove your personal data and detach your past reports so they no longer identify you; some records may be retained where the law requires (for example, purchase records for tax purposes).

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at bordi.support@gmail.com.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date above.
